Fire Risk Assessment

Employers are responsible for fire safety within the premises they operate under the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 and The Regulatory Reform (Fire Order) 2005. The “responsible person”, who is normally the employer or person with responsibility regarding the premises, should ensure that a fire risk assessment has been carried out.

Fire risk assessments look at:

  • Fire Hazards – These may not be immediately obvious but constitute anything that can start a fire, burn or intensify a fire.
  • People at Risk – Groups of people including children, elderly people, disabled people, lone or remote workers and may more.
  • How to evaluate risks and how these can be removed or reduced.

Robertson Fire & Safety can assist you in this process and give you peace of mind that you will comply with current legislation as well as safeguarding your business and staff.
